Over the past week, we added a couple of new features to the One Track Mind which will hopefully make the site easier to use and make discovering great new music even easier. These features include a random song function as well as a portable streaming music player called Streampad.
Our efforts to improve the site are guided by your feedback, so please let us know what you think about the new features!
Listen to A Random Track

At the top of every page on One Track Mind (and currently through a link in the sidebar), you’ll find a link labeled Random Track. Clicking this link will take you to a random post from The Vault, our archive of original content. As time progresses and OTM continues to grow, the Random Track will present an ever-increasing variety of great, free MP3s.
Streampad

You may have noticed a new dark blue bar extending across the bottom of the site. This is the dashboard for Streampad, a music player that collects the MP3s featured on One Track Mind.
Some of our readers lamented the fact that they could only stream songs on individual post pages or that leaving a comment interrupted playback of a song they were streaming. By clicking on the maximize icon to the left of the word “Streampad,” you can pop-out the player into a new browser window, thereby allowing you to stream not just one but all of our daily MP3s without interruption!
What do you think?
Your feedback is what keeps making One Track Mind a better site for our community of readers. Please let us know what you think about these two new site features by completing the poll question below or sharing thoughts in the comments.
Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

I don’t see Streampad at the bottom of the screen. I’m on a Mac, could that make a difference?

I’m on a Mac too, but I get it just fine (on Firefox). =) Love the new feature.

The Streampad is a great feature. I’m seeing it on other sites as well now. I’m loving this site, but my only gripe is the giving away of a free download. These artists you are featuring are top quality and should merit higher value. The web is flooded with upstart bands who give mediocre music away. I wrote an article about it on my site and feel strongly about obtaining musics value. Please consider readinging it. at http://mikeborgia.com
Keep up the good work. This is now my new favorite source for new music. Finally someone has the ability to know good music when they hear it.
