One Track Mind

Apologies in advance for the break in our regularly scheduled programming, but I wanted to share some big news with you today.

About eleven months ago, I launched One Track Mind to call attention to some of the artists whose work was not making it onto people’s radars, bands whose songs dazzled me and whose creativity and passion I wanted to share with the world. I had no way of knowing how the site would be received or if it would even work, but I’ve been fortunate enough to have the site discovered by appreciative music fans all over the world.

Today, One Track Mind is getting a little sister: Seeing Voices. Seeing Voices takes the same basic premise as One Track Mind–that everyone has time in their day to listen to one new song, even if they can’t keep up with traditional music blogs, new release schedules, and the overwhelming tide of new records released each week–and applies the concept to music videos instead of MP3s.

When you visit http://seeingvoices.com (and I hope you will), you’ll find one new music video spotlighted daily. The selections are works from artists whose songs and corresponding clips are exceptional enough to make them stand out from the pack. As with OTM, the picks on Seeing Voices will come from a mix of relative newcomers and established indie favorites. Each video is rated and comes with a bounty of supplementary information about the artist, video, and the album whence the song came.
